Do you like to write? Can you write quality articles with valuable content? Then getting paid to write articles online may be the thing for you! There are many websites that will pay you to write articles; one of these is helium.com.
Getting Paid to Write
Helium is a community where people write articles and get paid based on performance. What does this mean? It means that Helium bases your payments on how many times your articles are viewed. Helium picks titles, lists them, and you write articles for those titles. This doesn't add up to much money, unless you have a few hundred articles...luckily, Helium offers many different ways to make money.
Making Money With Helium
Helium wouldn't be worth writing this blog post if there weren't additional ways to make money writing, would it? Not only does Helium pay performance payments, they also have regular writing contests, marketplace opportunities and empty title bonuses. Don't worry, I'll explain what all of this means!
Helium Writing Contests
Helium offers writing contests on a regular basis. There are different categories in each contest, and a variety of titles within each category. You write and submit your article(s), and they're rated by the community (more on this later) and there are cash prizes for the winners. If you can write well, this is a really great way to get rewarded for it.
Helium Marketplace Opportunities
The marketplace on Helium is probably one of the most lucrative ways to make money online that Helium offers. It is also the most competitive! Many magazines post opportunities in Helium's marketplace; you choose what titles to write, and your article is rated by the Helium community. The top pick gets the money, which can range from $10 on up to $75 or more.
Helium Empty Title Bonuses
Helium is continuously posting new titles they want articles for. If you are the first one to post an article on one of these "empty titles", Helium pays you $1.00. This is a great way to make quicker money on your articles.
All in all, Helium is a great website to make money writing articles on. So now you may be asking yourself: whats the catch? This sounds too easy! There are two "catches" with Helium: first, a certain percentage of your articles must be in competitive titles. A competitive title is one that has at least 4 articles. The required percentage varies depending on the total number of articles you have published.
Helium's Rating System
The second "catch" with getting paid to write for Helium is that you must have a minimum of 1 rating star. To get one rating star, you must perform 10 ratings in a 30 day period; the percentage must stay above 75%. As far as I can tell, nobody knows how Helium calculates this percentage, but I believe they do this to make sure you aren't simply clicking a rating without reading the articles.
Helium Writing Stars
I almost forgot about the writing stars! Helium gives writing stars based on the number of articles you have written and the overall rating percentage of your articles. Writing stars offer you yet another way to make money writing articles for Helium. Depending on the number of writing stars you have (but you have to have at least one), Helium will pay you from $0.50 - $2.00 for each article you write.
If you want to get paid to write articles online, Helium is a great option. Do you have experiences with Helium? Please leave a comment & share them with us!
